January 29, 2019: Las Cruces, NM 88007 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Mayfield Trojans (Las Cruces, NM) and the visiting Las Cruces Bulldawgs (Las Cruces, NM), saw Mayfield's basketball squad overcome Las Cruces by a tally of 37-27.
With the victory, Mayfield improves its record to 15-5 on the campaign. The Trojans host Alamogordo (Alamogordo, NM) to confront the Tigers in a 5A District 3 challenge on Friday, February 1. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 15-5. Alamogordo lost 61-56 in their recent league challenge against Deming (Deming, NM)
Next up, the Bulldawgs confront the Gadsden Panthers (Anthony, NM) in a 5A District 3 challenge, on Friday, February 1. Las Cruces will attempt to improve on its 8-12 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 1-16 record after their 54-17 league loss to Centennial (Las Cruces, NM).
