In Saturday's non-league contest, the Decatur Central Hawks (Indianapolis, IN) softball team overwhelmed the host McCutcheon Mavericks (Lafayette, IN), by a margin of 13-3.

With the triumph, Decatur Central moves its record to 13-3 on the year. The Hawks travel to Plainfield (Plainfield, IN) to play the Quakers in a Mid-State contest on Tuesday, May 1. The Quakers come into the contest with a record of 7-5. Plainfield won 4-1 in their recent non-league contest against New Castle (New Castle, IN)

In their next game, the Mavericks play the Indianapolis Arsenal Technical Titans (Indianapolis, IN) in a North Central contest, on Monday, April 30.
