Florida High School Basketball - DeSoto County ripped by Port Charlotte
January 31, 2019: Port Charlotte, FL 33948 The Port Charlotte Pirates basketball team scored 55 points and held the visiting DeSoto County Bulldogs to 19 in the Pirates non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Pirates now sport a 13-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Oasis for a non-league contest on Friday, February 1. Port Charlotte will meet a Sharks team coming off a 54-31 non-league loss to Southwest Florida Christian (Fort Myers, FL). The Sharks record now stands at 5-13.
The Bulldogs (7-13) will now prepare for their contest against Lemon Bay (Englewood, FL). The Manta Rays enter the non-league contest with a 11-10 record. In their last contest, Lemon Bay triumphed over Evangelical Christian (Fort Myers, FL), 42-37, in a non-league contest.
