Spectators at Thursday's league battle between the West Stanly Colts (Oakboro, NC) and the host Anson Bearcats (Wadesboro, NC), saw West Stanly's baseball squad knock off Anson by a count of 6-2.

Coming up next, the Colts play the Mount Pleasant Tigers (Mt. Pleasant, NC) in a Rocky River 2A battle, on Monday, April 15. West Stanly will attempt to move on its 15-1 season record. The Tigers enter the battle with a 12-4 record after their 8-4 league win over East Montgomery (Biscoe, NC).
