Hopkins Royals (Minnetonka, MN) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Park Center Pirates (Brooklyn Park, MN), 62-47 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Hopkins upgrades its record to 8-1 on the season. The Royals travel to Orono (Long Lake, MN) to play the Spartans in a non-league bout on Monday, December 28. The Spartans go into the bout with a record of 8-0. Orono won 58-54 in their recent non-league bout against Rogers (Rogers, MN)

Next up, the Pirates play the Minnetonka Skippers (Minnetonka, MN) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 29. Park Center will attempt to upgrade on its 2-3 season record.
