January 6, 2018: Irvine, CA 92618 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Canyon Comanches (Anaheim, CA) and the host Portola Bulldogs (Irvine, CA), saw Canyon's basketball squad overcome Portola by a tally of 46-35.
With the victory, Canyon improves its record to 2-1 on the campaign. The Comanches travel to Brea Olinda (Brea, CA) to confront the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 9. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 0-1. Brea Olinda lost 44-29 in their recent non-league challenge against Portola (Irvine, CA)
Next up, the Bulldogs confront the Samueli Academy Firewolves (Santa Ana, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, January 10. Portola will attempt to improve on its 5-9 season record. The Firewolves come into the challenge with a 1-0 record after their 50-9 non-league win over Ocean View (Huntington Beach, CA).
