The Choctaw County Chargers held off the visiting South Pontotoc Cougars football squad by a tally of 20-14 in Friday's league bout.

In their next game, the Chargers face the Hatley Tigers (Amory, MS) in a 3A Region 4 bout, on Friday, October 26. Choctaw County will attempt to advance on its 7-3 season record. The Tigers enter the bout with a 5-5 record after their 28-27 league loss to Nettleton (Nettleton, MS).

The Cougars (6-4) will now prepare for their bout against Aberdeen (Aberdeen, MS). The Bulldogs enter the 3A Region 4 bout with a 5-5 record. In their last bout, Aberdeen was nudged by Houston (Houston, MS), 27-14, in a league bout.
