Sterling Heights Stallions (Sterling Heights, MI) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad nip the host New Haven Rockets (New Haven, MI), 50-49 in a league bout.

With the win, Sterling Heights upgrades its record to 11-5 on the season. The Stallions host Clintondale (Clinton Township, MI) to play the Dragons in a non-league bout on Friday, February 24. The Dragons go into the bout with a record of 7-8.

Next up, the Rockets play the South Lake Cavaliers (St. Clair Shores, MI) in a Macomb Area - Gold bout, on Thursday, February 16. New Haven will attempt to upgrade on its 12-3 season record.
