Ohio High School Volleyball - Springfield Northview
October 11, 2016: Sylvania, OH 43560 In Tuesday's league battle, the host Northview Wildcats volleyball team scored a 3-1 triumph over the Springfield Blue Devils.
The Wildcats (14-7) will now prepare for their battle against Perrysburg (Perrysburg, OH). The Yellowjackets come into the Northern Lakes battle with a 12-9 record. In their last battle, Perrysburg lost by Anthony Wayne (Whitehouse, OH), 3-0, in a league battle.
Next, the Blue Devils clash with the Bowling Green Bobcats (Bowling Green, OH) in a Northern Lakes battle, on Thursday, October 13. Springfield will attempt to advance on its 9-12 season record. The Bobcats come into the battle with a 17-2 record after their 3-0 league win over Maumee (Maumee, OH).

SYLVANIA - Senior Night at Northview High School was exactly what was anticipated... A victory for the Kats! Battling with now two starters out for the season, junior Paige Beck (broken wrist) and senior Kyley Keene (broken pinky), the LadyKats continue to impress and continue to "go to work"!
Leading on Senior Night was, naturally, the seniors - Sydney Boerst with 42 attempts, 23 kills and 1 error hitting .524, while adding 12 digs and 3 aces; Libero, Aly Snyder who led the team with 22 digs and 5 aces; Defensive Specialist Lauren David with 5 digs and 1 ace. Also contributing for the LadyKats was junior Rachel Phalen who struggled defensively, but offensively was productive with 15 kills, hitting .294. Junior setter, Aly O'Lenic dished out 45 assists, while also chipping in 7 digs.
The LadyKats finish out the regular season on Thursday, October 13 at Perrysburg with a JV start at 5:00pm. The Kats will start their OHSAA Tournament play with a home match on October 22 at 6:00pm.
