Texas High School Basketball - Geneva triumphant over John Paul II
January 3, 2025: Boerne, TX 78015 The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Geneva Eagles (Boerne, TX) and the visiting John Paul II Centurions (Corpus Christi, TX), observed Geneva's basketball team overwhelm John Paul II by a score of 73-9.
The Eagles (22-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Incarnate Word Academy (Corpus Christi, TX). The Angels come into the TAPPS 4A District 5 challenge with a 13-11 record. In their last challenge, Incarnate Word Academy was routed by Sinton (Sinton, TX), 61-49, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Centurions battle the The Christian School at Castle Hills Eagles (San Antonio, TX) in a TAPPS 4A District 5 challenge, on Tuesday, January 7. John Paul II will attempt to improve on its 3-18 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 18-10 record after their 67-37 league loss to New Braunfels Christian Academy (New Braunfels, TX).
