First Quarter
A back and forth start to the game saw the host CCS Crusaders trailing the visiting Warriors from Ruskin, 15-11.
Second Quarter
The deficit grew to 11 points as CCS fell behind at the end of the second quarter, 32-21. Senior guard Savannah Mills really got her game going in the second quarter as she hit the first of her career-high 3, three pointers in the quarter. The Crusaders had some difficulty with the relentless full court pressure from the Warriors.
Third Quarter
CCS and Ruskin traded baskets during the third stanza which ended with the visitors up 41-30 on the home team. Brooke Dowdy continued her strong play for CCS with some tough baskets as the Crusaders fought to stay in the game.
Fourth Quarter
The halftime deficit of 11 proved to be too much to overcome for the Crusaders as that was the final margin with the score, 53-42. Savannah Mills did all she could to pull CCS back before the necessary fouls began to stop the clock. Savannah hit two huge three-pointers late and finished with a team high 18 points. Aubree Zern chipped in with 10 points and 5 rebounds, Brooke Dowdy scored 12 points and Jayshonda Coleman tallied 2.
