In Friday's non-league outing, the Northridge (Middlebury, IN) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Portage Indians (Portage, IN), by a count of 60-35.

The (12-4) will now prepare for their outing against Andrean (Merrillville, IN). The Fighting 59ers go into the non-league outing with a 8-6 record. In their last outing, Andrean smashed Bowman Academy (Gary, IN), 56-34, in a non-league outing.

The Indians now hold a 5-10 record. They play next when they host Valparaiso for a Duneland outing on Friday, January 4. Portage will clash with a Vikings squad coming off a 48-44 non-league loss to Mt. Vernon (Fortville, IN). The Vikings record now stands at 7-10.
