The Desert Vista Thunder basketball team scored 67 points and held the visiting Mountain Pointe Pride to 59 in the Thunder league triumph on Tuesday.

The Thunder now sport a 22-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Corona del Sol for a 6A Central contest on Friday, February 7. Desert Vista will battle a Aztecs team coming off a 67-40 league loss to Highland (Gilbert, AZ). The Aztecs record now stands at 14-10.

The Pride (12-10) will now prepare for their outing against Desert Ridge (Mesa, AZ). The Jaguars go into the 6A Central outing with a 15-9 record. In their last outing, Desert Ridge defeated Queen Creek (Queen Creek, AZ), 67-51, in a league outing.
