CF Jeremiah Guzman (2-run HR, 4) played inspired baseball in the field and at the plate to lead the Marauders to the 8-1 victory. In the 5th inning, Guzman broke open a 4-1 game with a 2-run blast over the leftfield fence. That was all RHP Kyle Hess (4-0) needed (5 IP, R, 0 ER, H, BB, 4 K). RHPs William Kelley and Orlando Cortez each pitched a scoreless inning (H, 2 K apiece). SS Matteo Sollecito (2-3, 2b, 2 RBI, R), 3B Julian Todd (2-3, 2 R, SB), Hess (2b, 2 R), and SS Andrew Chaparro (Sac Fly, RBI) provided the offense. The Marauders improve to 14-1.
