North Carolina High School Football - West Mecklenburg drops to Hopewell

September 20, 2019: Huntersville, NC 28078

In Friday's non-league game, the Hopewell Titans (Huntersville, NC) football team knocked off the visiting West Mecklenburg Hawks (Charlotte, NC), by a final score of 35-21.

The Titans (1-2) will now prepare for their game against Hough (Cornelius, NC). The Huskies come into the I-Meck 4A game with a 1-3 record. In their last game, Hough was dropped by Myers Park (Charlotte, NC), 68-21, in a non-league game.

The Hawks now hold a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Providence for a So Meck 7 4A game on Friday, September 27. West Mecklenburg will battle a Panthers team coming off a 34-3 non-league loss to David W. Butler (Matthews, NC). The Panthers record now stands at 1-4.
