North Carolina High School Football - Shelby held off by Rutherfordton-Spindale Central

September 12, 2014: Shelby, NC 28152

In Friday's league game, the Rutherfordton-Spindale Central Hilltoppers (Rutherfordton, NC) football team tipped the host Shelby Golden Lions (Shelby, NC), by a score of 12-6.

The Hilltoppers (3-1) will now prepare for their game against Draughn (Valdese, NC). The Wildcats come into the 3A/2A Conference 4 game with a 0-4 record. In their last game, Draughn was tipped by Crest (Shelby, NC), 35-0, in a league game.

The Golden Lions now sport a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Chase for a 3A/2A Conference 4 game on Friday, September 19.
