The Boone Central Cardinals (Albion, NE) football nudged the visiting Pierce Bluejays (Pierce, NE), 35-33 in Friday's league bout.

In their next game, the Cardinals face the Battle Creek Braves (Battle Creek, NE) in a C1 District 5 bout, on Friday, October 1. Boone Central will attempt to move on its 5-0 season record. The Braves enter the bout with a 3-2 record after their 21-14 league loss to Wayne (Wayne, NE).
