The Homestead Mustangs (Cupertino, CA) basketball nipped the host Sequoia Cherokees (Redwood City, CA), 73-71 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Mustangs (15-11) will now prepare for their test against Carlmont (Belmont, CA). The Scots go into the non-league test with a 21-5 record. In their last test, Carlmont was tipped by Menlo-Atherton (Atherton, CA), 67-43, in a non-league test.
