The East Burke Cavaliers baseball team (Connelly Springs, NC), was overwhelmed 13-2 in Tuesday's league outing with the host Foard Tigers (Newton, NC)

The Tigers now hold a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to West Iredell for a Northwestern Foothills 2A outing on Thursday, March 7. Foard will confront a Warriors team coming off a 10-0 non-league win over Statesville (Statesville, NC). The Warriors record now stands at 2-2.

Next, the Cavaliers confront the Shelby Golden Lions (Shelby, NC) in a non-league outing, on Wednesday, March 6. East Burke will attempt to advance on its 0-2 season record. The Golden Lions go into the outing with a 0-1 record after their 11-1 league loss to R-S Central (Rutherfordton, NC).
