In Friday's non-league game, the Minnetonka Skippers (Minnetonka, MN) football team were victorious over the visiting Lakeville South Cougars (Lakeville, MN), by a score of 16-3.

The Skippers (4-1) will now prepare for their game against Edina (Edina, MN). The Hornets come into the Metro - West game with a 4-1 record. In their last game, Edina knocked off Shakopee (Shakopee, MN), 14-7, in a non-league game.

The Cougars now sport a 1-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Rosemount for a Metro - South game on Friday, October 5. Lakeville South will meet a Irish team coming off a 13-9 league win over Eastview (Apple Valley, MN). The Irish record now stands at 3-2.
