West Virginia High School Football - Sissonville held off by Mingo Central
September 14, 2018: Charleston, WV 25312 In Friday's league game, the Mingo Central Miners (Matewan, WV) football team got by the host Sissonville Indians (Charleston, WV), by a score of 39-36.
The Miners (3-1) will now prepare for their game against Poca (Poca, WV). The Dots come into the Cardinal game with a 4-0 record. In their last game, Poca nipped Logan (Logan, WV), 62-36, in a league game.
The Indians now sport a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hoover for a Cardinal challenge on Friday, September 21. Sissonville will meet a Huskies team coming off a 53-21 non-league loss to Point Pleasant (Point Pleasant, WV). The Huskies record now stands at 1-3.
