The Tavares Bulldogs (Tavares, FL) football overcame the visiting Central Bears (Brooksville, FL), 21-12 in Friday's non-league bout.

In their next game, the Bulldogs face the Umatilla Bulldogs (Umatilla, FL) in a non-league bout, on Friday, September 7. Tavares will attempt to move on its 1-1 season record. The Bulldogs enter the bout with a 0-2 record after their 63-20 league loss to Mount Dora (Mount Dora, FL).
