September 8, 2022: Nahunta, GA 31553 Spectators at Thursday's league match between the Appling County Pirates (Baxley, GA) and the host Brantley County Herons (Nahunta, GA), witnessed Appling County's softball squad tip Brantley County by a count of 5-0.
The Pirates now sport a 11-1 record. They play next when they host Lowndes for a non-league match on Friday, September 9. Appling County will face a Vikings squad coming off a 8-6 non-league loss to Thomas County Central (Thomasville, GA). The Vikings record now stands at 6-3.
With the loss, Brantley County moves to 5-9 on the season. The Herons travel to Telfair County (McRae, GA) to face the Trojans in a non-league match on Friday, September 9. The Trojans go into the match with a record of 5-4. Telfair County won 11-0 in their recent league match against Wheeler County (Alamo, GA)
