Game Summary
Eagle River Wolves defeated Dimond 7-4 on Sunday after taking the lead late in the game. The game was tied at two with Wolves batting in the top of the fourth when Josh Thompson singled on a 2-0 count, scoring two runs.
Eagle River Wolves fired up the offense in the first inning. Wolves scored one run on a stolen base.
After the Wolves scored one run in the top of the sixth, Dimond answered with one of their own. Wolves scored when Noah Lower doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run. Dimond then answered when Hoen singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.
Eagle River Wolves pulled away for good with five runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Dalton Smith's sac fly scored one run for the Wolves, Alex Mullin drew a walk, scoring one run, and Connor Lanehart singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.
Jack Molly went two innings, allowing zero runs on zero hits and striking out two. Mullin and Thompson entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.
