In Monday's league challenge, the Melvindale Cardinals (Melvindale, MI) baseball squad edged the host Anderson Titans (Southgate, MI), by a final score of 3-2.

With the win, Melvindale upgrades its record to 3-9 on the season. The Cardinals travel to Woodhaven (Brownstown, MI) to encounter the Warriors in a Downriver challenge on Tuesday, May 15.
