North Carolina High School Football - New Hanover topples South Brunswick
October 31, 2014: Southport, NC 28461 The New Hanover Wildcats (Wilmington, NC) football defeated the host South Brunswick Cougars (Southport, NC), 41-21 in Friday's league bout.
In their next game, the Wildcats face the Topsail Pirates (Hampstead, NC) in a 4A/3A Mideastern bout, on Friday, November 7. New Hanover will attempt to move on its 6-4 season record. The Pirates enter the bout with a 3-7 record after their 47-27 league loss to South Brunswick (Southport, NC).
The Cougars (4-6) will now prepare for their bout against Hoggard (Wilmington, NC). The Vikings enter the 4A/3A Mideastern bout with a 9-0 record. In their last bout, Hoggard defeated West Brunswick (Shallotte, NC), 35-0, in a league bout.
