The Hill City Ringnecks routed the host Smith Center Redmen basketball team by a final score of 76-26 in Thursday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Ringnecks face the Thunder Ridge Longhorns (Kensington, KS) in a non-league game, on Monday, February 15. Hill City will attempt to move on its 11-5 season record. The Longhorns enter the game with a 6-9 record after their 72-49 non-league win over Tescott (Tescott, KS).
