Indiana High School Softball - South Bend St. Joseph bounces Bremen
April 24, 2023: South Bend, IN 46617 The South Bend St. Joseph Indians routed the visiting Bremen Lions softball squad by a final score of 10-0 in Monday's league battle.
The Indians (9-0) will now prepare for their battle against South Bend Adams (South Bend, IN). The Eagles go into the Northern Indiana battle with a 5-2 record. In their last battle, South Bend Adams was routed by New Prairie (New Carlisle, IN), 16-0, in a league battle.
The Lions now possess a 3-6 record. They play next when they host Jimtown for a Northern Indiana battle on Wednesday, April 26. Bremen will meet a Jimmies squad coming off a 5-4 league win over South Bend Riley (South Bend, IN). The Jimmies record now stands at 7-1.
Game Summary
Bremen traveled to St. Pat's Park on Monday & St. Joe's Berkley Zache showed why she dominated in the Indians' run to their 3A State Title in 2022. Zache struck out 16 of the 18 Lady Lions she faced enroute to a 6 inning No Hiiter.
Peyton Mason was the only Lion to reach base on an Indian error.
Chrissy Grabowski scattered 10 hits, but it was the Lion's defense that did not help the cause, committing four untimely errors giving St Joe 6 unearned runs.
Bremen Hosts Jimtown on Wednesday with the Varsity first pitch scheduled for 5pm with a JV Game scheduled after.
