Colorado High School Basketball - Doherty nips Air Academy

February 9, 2021: US Air Force Academy, CO 80840

Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Doherty Spartans (Colorado Springs, CO) and the host Air Academy Kadets (US Air Force Academy, CO), saw Doherty's basketball squad hold off Air Academy by a tally of 44-40.

With the victory, Doherty improves its record to 4-1 on the campaign. The Spartans host Cheyenne Mountain (Colorado Springs, CO) to play the Indians in a 5A/4A Pikes Peak challenge on Thursday, February 11. The Indians come into the challenge with a record of 2-3. Cheyenne Mountain won 66-40 in their recent league challenge against Discovery Canyon (Colorado Springs, CO)

Next up, the Kadets play the Discovery Canyon Thunder (Colorado Springs, CO) in a 5A/4A Pikes Peak challenge, on Saturday, February 13. Air Academy will attempt to improve on its 2-3 season record. The Thunder come into the challenge with a 1-5 record after their 60-50 league loss to Palmer Ridge (Monument, CO).
