The Edgewood Cougars basketball team scored 47 points and restricted the visiting Ross Rams to 42 in the Cougars league victory on Wednesday.

The Cougars now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Kings for a non-league contest on Monday, January 2. Edgewood will battle a Knights team coming off a 56-54 league win over Milford (Milford, OH). The Knights record now stands at 4-0.

The Rams (4-4) will now prepare for their contest against Taylor (Cleves, OH). The Yellowjackets come into the non-league contest with a 2-1 record. In their last contest, Taylor edged Wyoming (Cincinnati, OH), 48-27, in a league contest.
