Washington High School Basketball - Squalicum tops Nooksack Valley

Squalicum Storm (Bellingham, WA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Nooksack Valley Pioneers (Everson, WA), 67-58 in a league bout.

With the victory, Squalicum upgrades its record to 9-9 on the campaign. The Storm travel to Lakewood (Arlington, WA) to play the Cougars in a 1A/2A/3A Northwest bout on Tuesday, February 4. The Cougars come into the bout with a record of 11-6. Lakewood won 70-45 in their recent league bout against Sehome (Bellingham, WA)

In their next game, the Pioneers meet the Burlington-Edison Tigers (Burlington, WA) in a 1A/2A/3A Northwest match, on Monday, February 3. Nooksack Valley will attempt to move on its 9-8 season record. The Tigers enter the match with a 16-1 record after their 56-41 league win over Anacortes (Anacortes, WA).
