In Friday's non-league match, the host Pickering Red Devils football squad scored a good 28-13 victory over the Merryville Panthers.

In their next game, the Red Devils clash with the Grant Cougars (Dry Prong, LA) in a non-league match, on Friday, October 9. Pickering will attempt to move on its 1-0 season record. The Cougars enter the match with a 1-0 record after their 53-28 non-league win over Block (Jonesville, LA).

The Panthers (0-2) will now prepare for their match against East Beauregard (DeRidder, LA). The Trojans enter the 1A District 4 match with a 0-1 record. In their last match, East Beauregard dropped by Rosepine (Rosepine, LA), 46-6, in a non-league match.
