August 23, 2019: Columbus, NC 28722 The Polk County Wolverines (Columbus, NC) football routed the visiting Cherokee Braves (Cherokee, NC), 43-6 in Friday's non-league bout.
In their next game, the Wolverines face the North Gaston Wildcats (Dallas, NC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, August 30. Polk County will attempt to move on its 1-0 season record. The Wildcats enter the bout with a 1-0 record after their 21-14 non-league win over East Gaston (Mt. Holly, NC).
