The New Kent Trojans basketball team scored 90 points and restricted the host Poquoson Islanders to 43 in the Trojans league victory on Friday.

The Trojans now sport a 8-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Warhill for a Bay Rivers contest on Monday, January 9. New Kent will battle a Lions team coming off a 54-53 league loss to Tabb (Yorktown, VA). The Lions record now stands at 3-9.

The Islanders (2-8) will now prepare for their contest against Smithfield (Smithfield, VA). The Packers come into the Bay Rivers contest with a 9-3 record. In their last contest, Smithfield triumphed over Jamestown (Williamsburg, VA), 74-50, in a league contest.
