The Pioneers now sport a 2-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host St. Stephens for a Northwestern 3A/4A battle on Tuesday, February 9. Watauga will battle a Indians team coming off a 65-34 league loss to Alexander Central (Taylorsville, NC). The Indians record now stands at 2-7.
The Vikings (0-10) will now prepare for their battle against Charles D. Owen (Black Mountain, NC). The Warhorses come into the Western Highlands 1A/2A bout with a 3-7 record. In their last bout, Charles D. Owen was crushed by Mountain Heritage (Burnsville, NC), 49-37, in a league bout.
