The Axtell Wildcats basketball team (Axtell, NE), was toppled 53-45 in Monday's non-league battle with the visiting Amherst Broncos (Amherst, NE)

The Broncos now possess a 14-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Overton for a non-league battle on Thursday, February 3. Amherst will confront a Eagles team coming off a 60-38 non-league win over Wilcox-Hildreth (Wilcox, NE). The Eagles record now stands at 13-6.
