The Rio Vista Eagles basketball team scored 64 points and restricted the host Valley Mills Eagles to 36 in the Eagles league victory on Friday.

The Eagles now sport a 13-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Frost for a 2A Region II District 12 contest on Tuesday, January 16. Rio Vista will battle a Polar Bears team coming off a 50-35 league loss to Itasca (Itasca, TX). The Polar Bears record now stands at 9-14.

The Eagles (9-13) will now prepare for their contest against Hamilton (Hamilton, TX). The Bulldogs come into the 2A Region II District 12 contest with a 9-11 record. In their last contest, Hamilton triumphed over Italy (Italy, TX), 55-45, in a league contest.
