The Milford Mavericks football team (Highland, MI), was beaten 20-6 in Friday's league challenge with the host South Lyon East Cougars (South Lyon, MI)

The Cougars (2-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Walled Lake Northern (Commerce, MI). The Knights come into the Lakes Valley challenge with a 1-2 record. In their last challenge, Walled Lake Northern achieved victory over Walled Lake Central (Walled Lake, MI), 36-6, in a league challenge.

The Mavericks now sport a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they host Notre Dame Prep for a non-league challenge on Friday, October 9. Milford will meet a Fighting Irish team coming off a 10-0 league loss to Detroit Country Day (Beverly Hills, MI). The Fighting Irish record now stands at 2-1.
