Connecticut High School Basketball - Notre Dame Catholic knocked off by Naugatuck
January 14, 2022: Fairfield, CT 06825 The Naugatuck Greyhounds basketball team scored 70 points and held the host Notre Dame Catholic Lancers to 62 in the Greyhounds non-league triumph on Friday.
The Greyhounds now sport a 8-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Wolcott for a Naugatuck Valley - Iron contest on Tuesday, January 18. Naugatuck will battle a Eagles team coming off a 66-54 league loss to Watertown (Watertown, CT). The Eagles record now stands at 0-5.
The Lancers (2-4) will now prepare for their contest against Pomperaug (Southbury, CT). The Panthers enter the Southwest contest with a 2-6 record. In their last contest, Pomperaug ran past Bunnell (Stratford, CT), 62-45, in a league contest.
