The East Marshall Mustangs topped the visiting English Valleys Bears volleyball team by a score of 2-0 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Mustangs now have a 2-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Grundy Center for a North Iowa Cedar - West test on Tuesday, September 10. East Marshall will meet a Spartans team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Sumner-Fredericksburg (Sumner, IA). The Spartans record now stands at 6-0.

The Bears (2-7) will now prepare for their game against Cedar Valley Christian (Cedar Rapids, IA). The Huskies enter the non-league game with a 3-4 record. In their last game, Cedar Valley Christian was dropped by Prince of Peace Prep (Clinton, IA), 2-0, in a league game.
