Virginia High School Basketball - Norcom thwarts Our Lady of Mount Carmel
December 30, 2016: Portsmouth, VA 23704 The Norcom Greyhounds (Portsmouth, VA) basketball knocked off the visiting Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cougars (Baltimore, MD), 51-35 in Friday's non-league test.
The Greyhounds (5-5) will now prepare for their test against Landstown (Virginia Beach, VA). The Eagles go into the non-league test with a 9-1 record. In their last test, Landstown notched a victory over Menchville (Newport News, VA), 43-20, in a non-league test.
The Cougars now own a 3-7 record. They play next when they travel to Annapolis Area Christian for a IAAM B test on Tuesday, January 3. Our Lady of Mount Carmel will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 37-31 non-league loss to King's Christian Academy (Callaway, MD). The Eagles record now stands at 3-8.
