The Cheylin Cougars tipped the host Hitchcock County Falcons basketball team by a final score of 55-53 in Tuesday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Cougars battle the Triplains/Brewster Titans (Brewster, KS) in a Western Kansas Liberty battle, on Friday, February 12. Cheylin will attempt to better on its 6-9 season record.

The Falcons (2-18) will now prepare for their battle against Wallace (Wallace, NE). The Wildcats come into the D2 District 9 battle with a 6-13 record. In their last battle, Wallace was nudged by Southwest (Bartley, NE), 48-37, in a non-league battle.
