North Carolina High School Basketball - Southwestern Randolph nips Southern Alamance
January 29, 2021: Graham, NC 27253 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Southwestern Randolph Cougars (Asheboro, NC) and the host Southern Alamance Patriots (Graham, NC), saw Southwestern Randolph's basketball squad hold off Southern Alamance by a tally of 50-45.
With the victory, Southwestern Randolph improves its record to 4-2 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Eastern Guilford (Gibsonville, NC) to play the Wildcats in a Mid-Piedmont 3A challenge on Tuesday, February 2. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 0-5.
Next up, the Patriots play the Walter M. Williams Bulldogs (Burlington, NC) in a Mid-Piedmont 3A challenge, on Monday, February 1. Southern Alamance will attempt to improve on its 2-4 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 4-1 record after their 75-59 league loss to Asheboro (Asheboro, NC).
