Georgia High School Basketball - Jones County overwhelms Locust Grove
December 30, 2020: Locust Grove, GA 30248 Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the Jones County Greyhounds (Gray, GA) and the host Locust Grove Wildcats (Locust Grove, GA), saw Jones County's basketball squad wallop Locust Grove by a tally of 83-29.
With the victory, Jones County improves its record to 2-6 on the campaign. The Greyhounds host Woodland (Stockbridge, GA) to confront the Wolfpack in a AAAAA Region 4 challenge on Tuesday, January 5. The Wolfpack come into the challenge with a record of 9-5. Woodland won 49-37 in their recent non-league challenge against Alcovy (Covington, GA)
Next up, the Wildcats confront the Lamar County Trojans (Barnesville, GA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 4. Locust Grove will attempt to improve on its 0-8 season record. The Trojans come into the challenge with a 7-4 record after their 63-40 non-league win over Mary Persons (Forsyth, GA).
