In Thursday's non-league contest, the New Castle Trojans (New Castle, IN) volleyball squad knocked off the host Muncie Burris Owls (Muncie, IN), by a margin of 3-1.

Next up, the Trojans battle the Pendleton Heights Arabians (Pendleton, IN) in a Hoosier Heritage contest, on Monday, October 5. New Castle will attempt to better on its 15-4 season record. The Arabians come into the contest with a 17-7 record after their 3-0 league loss to Greenfield-Central (Greenfield, IN).

With the loss, Muncie Burris drops to 16-4 on the campaign. The Owls host Carroll (Fort Wayne, IN) to battle the Chargers in a non-league contest on Saturday, October 3.
