Georgia High School Basketball - Alexander nudges South Paulding

January 17, 2023: Douglasville, GA 30135

Alexander Cougars (Douglasville, GA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting South Paulding Spartans (Douglasville, GA), 62-60 in a league bout.

With the win, Alexander upgrades its record to 14-4 on the season. The Cougars travel to Paulding County (Dallas, GA) to clash with the Patriots in a AAAAAA Region 5 bout on Friday, January 20. The Patriots go into the bout with a record of 10-7. Paulding County won 63-48 in their recent non-league bout against Darlington (Rome, GA)

Next up, the Spartans clash with the Douglas County Tigers (Douglasville, GA) in a AAAAAA Region 5 bout, on Friday, January 20. South Paulding will attempt to upgrade on its 14-5 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 5-11 record after their 71-70 league loss to Paulding County (Dallas, GA).
