The Westover Wolverines basketball team (Fayetteville, NC), was toppled 64-53 in Wednesday's non-league battle with the visiting Hoggard Vikings (Wilmington, NC)

The Vikings now possess a 8-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to New Life Christian Academy for a non-league battle on Thursday, December 22. Hoggard will confront a Monarchs team coming off a 86-70 non-league win over E.E. Smith (Fayetteville, NC). The Monarchs record now stands at 16-8.

The Wolverines (8-1) will now prepare for their battle against E.E. Smith (Fayetteville, NC). The Golden Bulls come into the 3A/4A Conference 23 battle with a 4-3 record. In their last battle, E.E. Smith was toppled by New Life Christian Academy (Fayetteville, NC), 86-70, in a non-league battle.
