North Carolina High School Baseball - South Point gets by Alexander Central
May 14, 2021: Belmont, NC 28012 Spectators at Friday's non-league battle between the South Point Red Raiders (Belmont, NC) and the visiting Alexander Central Cougars (Taylorsville, NC), saw South Point's baseball squad beat Alexander Central by a margin of 7-4.
Coming up next, the Red Raiders play the East Rutherford Cavaliers (Forest City, NC) in a Southwestern 2A battle, on Tuesday, May 18. South Point will attempt to better on its 5-1 season record. The Cavaliers enter the battle with a 3-2 record after their 2-1 league win over Burns (Lawndale, NC).
The Cougars now sport a 1-5 record. They take the field next when they host Watauga for a Northwestern 3A/4A battle on Tuesday, May 18. Alexander Central will play a Pioneers squad coming off a 6-5 league win over South Caldwell (Hudson, NC). The Pioneers record now stands at 4-2.
