March 1, 2021: Granite City, IL 62040 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Granite City Warriors (Granite City, IL) and the visiting Metro-East Lutheran Knights (Edwardsville, IL), saw Granite City's basketball squad overcome Metro-East Lutheran by a tally of 60-49.
With the victory, Granite City improves its record to 6-2 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Collinsville (Collinsville, IL) to confront the Kahoks in a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 4. The Kahoks come into the challenge with a record of 6-7. Collinsville won 50-32 in their recent non-league challenge against Cahokia (Cahokia, IL)
Next up, the Knights confront the Nokomis Redskins (Nokomis, IL) in a MSM challenge, on Tuesday, March 2. Metro-East Lutheran will attempt to improve on its 6-3 season record. The Redskins come into the challenge with a 7-4 record after their 44-41 non-league win over Father McGivney Catholic (Glen Carbon, IL).
