Texas High School Basketball - Garland holds off Lakeview Centennial
January 22, 2021: Garland, TX 75040 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Garland Owls (Garland, TX) and the visiting Lakeview Centennial Patriots (Garland, TX), saw Garland's basketball squad hold off Lakeview Centennial by a tally of 50-48.
With the victory, Garland improves its record to 12-1 on the campaign. The Owls travel to Sachse (Sachse, TX) to confront the Mustangs in a 6A Region II District 9 challenge on Tuesday, January 26. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a record of 8-5. Sachse won 78-58 in their recent league challenge against North Garland (Garland, TX)
Next up, the Patriots confront the South Garland Colonels (Garland, TX) in a 6A Region II District 9 challenge, on Tuesday, January 26. Lakeview Centennial will attempt to improve on its 6-8 season record. The Colonels come into the challenge with a 9-6 record after their 80-50 league loss to Naaman Forest (Garland, TX).
